Rules to Remember When You Visit a Nude Beach
Nude beaches may be rarer in North America than they are in Europe and other parts of the world, but there are some simple rules of etiquette that transcend borders, and this video from the folks at Rev3 breaks them all down nicely.
Most of the rules are pretty simple, and things that any mature adult would figure out on their own if they decided to go to a nude beach on their own: Things like remembering to make absolutely sure the beach you’re headed to actually is a nude beach, or at least is a nude beach during the time you plan to visit (some beaches allow nude swimming and sunbathing during certain times of the year, but not others, for example), and remembering that gawking and photography are huge faux pas—just because someone’s basking in the sun in their birthday suit doesn’t make the whole affair a photoshoot or excuse to stare (besides, that’s what dark sunglasses are for.)
Of course, there’s the big rule: No matter what your favorite…videos on the internet may tell you, nude beaches aren’t synonymous with massive, unfettered sex parties. You’ll still get arrested, cited, or jailed for going at it in public, and “but officer, this is a nude beach” is no defense. That’s just a few tips, but there are more in the video
