I’m a lesbian, and I was wondering how I’m supposed to attract other lesbians without wearing a “Hi, I’m a lesbian!” shirt. I look femme and straight, so it’s near impossible for people to tell that I’m a lesbian. I don’t want to cut my hair short or wear baggy clothes, because… show more
I think most lesbians are in the same boat, short of chopping off your hair and tattooing “lesbian!” on your forehead there really is no way to know for sure. Just try flirting with other girls, telling them you like their hair or their laugh as a few examples. Most people can pick up on flirting, so if they flirt back you’re in the green! But if they look uncomfortable you should back off, just normal flirting techniques are the best way to go. or dying your hair bright purple like I did, but that’s just an option lol
My best friend is a lesbian. I think it’s a typical steriotype that you have a butch and a femme. Sure there are those types of couples, but my friend is “femme” and so his her girlfriend. They are both very into makeup, clothes, hair… their relationship works because they’ve come to a happy medium, you don’t “need” a masculine and a feminine… it’s all steriotype. Some women are attracted to the butch women others aren’t… just like in a typical relationship… sometimes you have a dominating, amazon woman and a meeker, quiet man… and vise versa…
I feel you. I’m a lesbian who is always called “femme” or “lipstick lesbian” and it’s annoying but i mean, my style and the way i look is the way it is. For me, i was asked out by my girlfriend who literally said “You’re attractive and I hope you like girls. Here’s my number” But i guess, maybe go to gay bars?
I am a femme and people know as long as you say your out it gets around and also you can make the first move if you know there gay.
Try volunteering at a local animal shelter, am sure that may help.
