New research found that those who do doggy stand the best chance of climaxing together.
A sex survey carried out by Dr Ed, which quizzed 2,000 people from the US and the UK about their bedroom behaviours, found that 35 per cent of people said Doggy Style was the hottest position.
In second and third places were Missionary, which was liked most by women, and Cowgirl – which blokes preferred.
And it seems there is good reason for doggy style coming top.
Researchers added: “Sex and sexual preferences aren’t the same for men and women.
“What feels good – or great – can vary significantly based on the position and who is in control.
“That being said, of the 2,000 people we surveyed, both genders agreed that Doggy Style was their favourite position.
“Doggy Style allows for deeper penetration, which means a better chance of reaching the coveted G-spot.”

The experts also found that couples everywhere were keen to experiment when it came to trying out new moves in the bedroom.
They said: “Sex is supposed to be fun, but sometimes, doing the same positions over and over (even when orgasms are involved) can become a bit dull.
“Straight, bisexual, or gay, survey respondents were mostly curious about the same positions.
“We discovered that positions like 69 Standing Up, Kneeling Wheelbarrow and Tabletop were extremely popular with both men and women, that men were largely more interested in trying new positions and that they were picking up most their new moves from porn.
“No one ever said you needed the bed (or bedroom) for a successful physical connection.”

“So no surprises it’s so popular. A classic “bum man” gets a good look and can get playful with a few slaps on her bum cheeks if his partner likes that.
“He can also reach around with one hand and tease her clitoral zone with his fingertips or a vibrator while he steadies the Doggy action holding her hip with his other.
“However couples must rock the position that works best for them. And always change it up!
“There are no rules when it comes to pole positions!”
