I wish that saggy breasts were depicted in art and diagrams
I grew up feeling like an anomaly because any depiction of breasts I saw were of perky round breasts with pink nipples. So I thought that anything that deviated from this (ex. My boobs being saggy and having dark brown nipples) was ugly. I knew that porn stars usually had their breasts done, or only women with perky breasts were given roles, but seeing paintings, breast diagrams, cartoons that only had perky boobs made me feel even more like my breasts were ugly.
After posting nudes online I’ve learned just how desirable my breasts can actually be to people and I see them in a new light! But I hope young girls know that they don’t have to have perfectly round, full, perky, light-colored breasts to be considered attractive by other people
VesperX: I remember going to an art museum when I was young. One of the buildings had elaborate stonework at the top. On each corner was a nude female figure in stone bending over pouring out the rain from the gutters. Their bodies looked soft and natural with moderate sized saggy breasts hanging down. I thought it was absolutely beautiful. I’ve always appreciated the natural beauty of saggy breasts since.
Edit: It was somewhere in Southern California if anyone knows what I’m talking about. There were art galleries and villas and I believe a botanical garden in the middle.
Endermiss: I’m a 36E and I have been since I was probably 13, so I’ve gone through most of my life feeling like my boobs ought to sit about two inches higher than they do. It’s all downhill from here, too, and I know it. This was a nice thing to read today. Thanks OP.
sandybeachclam: I was similar about my nipples. Mine are puffy and not well defined. Got made fun of occasionally as a teen.
Along comes internet and I learn that some people love them haha.
Try to love yourself without reference to outside standards
a_lovely_mess: Maybe you’d like looking at r/normalnudes. There are perky bodies, and not so perky bodies. 🙂
idkwhaat: The number one comment I get about mine is “very natural.” I feel like this is code for “ugly” but it is always said in in approving, turned on tone and I’ve never had anyone not want them so I guess it’s ok? It’s weird to reconcile.
inkyfeminist: Go to Instagram and check out #saggyboobsmatter!! Lots of cool artsy/modelling/eye candy
Lithiumlaced: Mine started sagging the moment they grew in, i totally get you OP
whitejuniper: It sucks that natural boobs are termed saggy, which only has negative connotations. Growing up I realised it’s far more normal than girls think it is. We need a new term.
Makin_Waves: Mine are like that and have always been. I dont mind that they sag I just hate the nipple placement. They point downwards and I hate it. It’s literally the only part of my body I am self conscious about. I’ve never had a man say anything about them but I can’t stand looking at them and wish they were firmer with my nipples higher on the breast.
KingNick: Many artists have claimed that they wouldn’t paint me nude for fear of seeming incompetent because of the proportions of my body. *”Your penis is too large and perfect!”* they decried. *”I cannot afford that much canvas”* they proclaimed!
npepin: I myself wouldn’t assert the claim that artists ought to depict breasts to be more saggy as a means of making people feel more comfortable with themselves. I’m not saying that there isn’t a political argument that could be made, but I don’t know if it is the role of an artist to make people feel comfortable.
With artists who make diagrams, I would argue that you only want to get across the concept without getting into the variation. If there is a point to display variation, of course do so, but if it is just diagram of the healthy middle age average group member, I think you should do what the average person expects as it is most easily understood.
For full clarity, I do empathize with your plight and am glad that you found out that most all breasts can be sexy. I also am in favor of sex education showing a wide variety of variations and body types. I know some schools will show their students galleries of vulvas and breasts with all different variation, and that can be very helpful to students.
morbidvixxen: I struggle with this. I am in pretty good shape and am petite, would say I have an ideal body but all my confidence washes away when I take off my shirt. My boobs are really far apart and pretty long/saggy. I feel like I have Mom boobs but I haven’t had a baby. It makes me hate myself some days and I hate not having any control over it. I’m 22 and I feel like every other woman my age has beautiful perky perfect boobs. It kills me sometimes. Finding posts like this can help but idk, I’ve always thought about surgery. Ramble ramble.
SilverDevil729: Hey, Sailor!
Retired Sub Sailor and man, here. Anyone who judges you by your physical appearance is an asshole. If you were undesirable, they should have stepped the f*ch back.
I’m a last century Sailor, but we never had problems and our Shipmates are still in contact.
Edit for repeat word.
br094: It would be good. Porn is just the same crap over and over. Real life stuff is better
Provogirl: You should check out paramoart on Instagram-body pos nudes.
Raii-v2: A lot of indigenous African artwork has women with the breasts you describe.
Lest we not go into why these arts have not been considered
LordPagodas: I love all kind if breasts, we used to draw a bunch of different people in art school and my favourite was a chubby girl with big saggy breasts, I never saw her again 🙁
nitesiege: Everyone has their preference when it comes to this… I love large saggy boobies with dark large nipples and areolas, I love playing with them, they feel so soft and warm… But to each his own…
okra_: My friend is an artist and anytime she does a lot of larger, saggy breasts with stretch marks
turquoisecurls: I totally agree, especially with the nipples part. Mine are darker and bigger. It didnt help that a friend of mine used to always tease me for having “pepperoni nipples”. Ive come to learn later that theyre fine and people love them! Im happy youve had the same realization!
crownmeKING: I think we need to see your boobs… For science!
