Penis Anxiety Problem For Men Regardless Of Size – Science!
One of the consequences of a media saturated society is the unrealistic expectation of real life that people develop from watching too much television. While most of us figured out our first cars wouldn’t be talking Trans-Ams with turbo boosters, some didn’t. These people expect their lives to match up with the images they see in movies, television and on the internet.
This is an unfortunate circumstance when men start trying to compare their penises to that of a professional porn star.
The average penis size of an American male is 5.6 inches. Though I don’t have any official statistics, the average penis seen in a fuck flick is roughly the size of two Snapple bottles that have been tapped together. This is because huge cocks are awesome.
Even the most heterosexual of men can agree that porn is better when the male performer has a massive crank – but how does this make us feel about our own penises? Do people with small penises worry about it more than people with large ones? Science, once again, has the answer.
According to a recent study; 30% of men worry about the size of their penis regardless of how it looks.
The study was done by psychiatrist David Veale of King’s College, London. Veale took 43 men and asked them to have their penises measured and to respond to ten statements meant to determine if they have any anxiety associated with the size and shape of their dicks.
Examples included, “Others will be able to see my penis even if I have trousers on,” and “Others will talk or laugh about my penis.” Brutal!
After the data was crunched, it was determined that 30 percent of men worried about the size of their penis regardless of if it was larger or smaller than average. This 30 percent also correlated with a larger group of 173 men who were asked if they worried about their wieners without being asked to reveal its actual measurements.
Popular culture would have us believe that anything shorter than six inches isn’t even worth mentioning. According to this study, worrying about one’s penis is something that happens to many men regardless of their size – so it’s best not to worry about.
I don’t, and my penis is several shades darker than the rest of my body with a distinct bend. I think it has character! Like a Muppet, or a handmade pastry.
